Alh. Ahmed has an extensive history of government service on behalf of the Republic of Nigeria and has served at the highest levels of the Nigerian Government.
Alh. Ahmed served as the Minister of Defense and from December 2000 to July 2007, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation of Nigeria from September 2008 to May 2011 and from December 2000 to July 2007, Alh. Ahmed served as the Head of Civil Service.

Sam Nda-Isaiah is the founder of LEADERSHIP Newspapers Group. He is also a fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN). Mr. Sam is a member of the Asian think-tank, the Global Institute for Tomorrow (GIFT) based in Hong Kong.
Sam is an alumnus of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore and also of the School of International and Public Affairs of Columbia University, New York.

Professor Joy Uche Angela Ogwu has recently completed a two term tenure of eight years (2008-2016) as a Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the United Nations. She is a former Foreign Minister of Nigeria. Prior to her Ministerial career, she served as the First Female Director–General of the Nigeria's Foreign Policy Think Tank - The Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) (2001-2006). She served as the former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research(UNIDIR).
She was the President of the UN Security Council in July 2010 and again in October 2011. She is currently the President of the Executive Board of the UN Women Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.

Professor Joy Ogwu is blessed with several children and grandchildren, she has left an indelible mark on the institutions and processes of global security, conflict resolution and peace keeping.

Sen. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed is a 46 year old Academician, Businessman and Nigerian politician. He was a member of the House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007, and was elected Senator for Kaduna North, in Kaduna State, Nigeria in April 2011 running on the Congress for Progressive Change ticket, with a remarkable record of the credit of sponsoring important legislation in a very short time.

Baba-Ahmed has four degrees; a BSc and MSc in Economics from University of Maiduguri, a MBA from University of Wales, Cardiff and in 2006, he successfully completed his PhD studies, earning the title of Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Westminster.

After his service year at University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Ogun state, he worked as Projects Co-ordinator, Baze Research and Data Services Ltd. and as Officer II in the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company, Lagos. He worked as a Banking Officer, First Bank of Nigeria Plc from July 1997 to Dec 1998 and then came back to become the Managing Director of Baze Research and Data Services Ltd in July 1999 - January 2003, before venturing into politics

In 2011, Sen. Baba-Ahmed established Baze University, an independent University located in Abuja, Nigeria. Using his studies abroad as a benchmark, he noted that the Nigerian educational system was "appalling". This inspired the birth of Baze University, \"to contribute towards fixing the system in order for Nigeria to realize its potentials and address various challenges".

Sen. Datti is a well accomplished philanthropist. Among many of his corporate social responsibility projects; he built and donated two junior secondary schools with total capacity of 4,000 students. It is worthy of note that the schools have graduated over 6,000 students to date.

In 2015, Sen. Yusuf Baba-Ahmed was appointed as Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Hope Alive Foundation - which campaigns for post-service economic survival of corps members who suffered permanent disability during service.

Professor Tahir Mamman, OON, SAN, the second Vice-Chancellor of Baze University brings in a diverse, all-round wealth of experience in management of tertiary institutions and general administration spanning well over three decades.

He was the immediate past Director-General of the prestigious Nigerian Law School. He was in that post for 8 years. His Tenure in the Law School recorded unparalleled massive development in the programmed of the school, infrastructure, staff development, international linkages, and staff and students welfare and wellbeing.

He was the pioneer Head and Deputy Director-General of the Kano Campus of the Nigerian Law School.

He cut his academic and administrative teeth in the University of Maiduguri where he had become a Head of Department, Acting Dean of Law at various times, and substantive Dean of Students Affairs, catering for the welfare and social development of over 30,000 students at that time.

He was for 3 years a member of the Board of International Association of Law Schools, based in Washington. He belongs to a wide range of international and local associations. He has traversed virtually all parts of the world.

Professor Mamman is happily married with 9 children, with a mix of boys and girls, and is also a grandfather.

Mr David is a solicitor of Supreme Court, England and Wales with current practicing certificate (14 years call). He is a well accomplished academia; he had his first degree in Bachelor of Science (Sociology) (Calabar, Nigeria) followed by a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Wales, UK), Master of Laws (LLM) in Commercial Law (Wales, UK), Post Graduate Diploma in Housing Management (Wales, UK), Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Wales, UK). Has thorough practical knowledge of Corporate Governance, public administration, commercial law, public law and administration, employment and discrimination law gained from over 14 years advising high level Boards in the United Kingdom and Nigeria.

Peter Nyong Umoh is Professor of Finance and currently the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and the coordinator of Postgraduate Studies at Baze University in Abuja, Nigeria. He served on the Board of Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC); a bank supervisory and deposit insurance institution, for ten (10) years. As the Executive Director in charge off operations, Professor Umoh supervised off-site surveillance and onsite examination of banks, amongst other operational functions of the Cooperation. Prior to the NDIC assignment, he was professor of Finance and Head of the Department of Finance, University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Pfof. Umoh has benefitted from extensive executive education at Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Michigan, IMD and London Business Schools. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB).

Major General Muhammad Inuwa Idris (retired), joined Baze University after about 35 years of a very successful military career. An accomplished and versatile senior military intelligence and security professional, Inuwa Idris is proudly privileged with one of the deepest and far reaching international intelligence and security networks among his peers. At the climax of his active duty, he served as the Commandant at the Nigerian Defence Academy. Noted for his integrity, discipline and passion for excellence. He stood out among his peers as a distinguished role model for subordinates; demanding the best and; giving his best to his country and sundry. Inuwa Idris joined the Baze Team primarily to add value and contribute in nurturing the fledging University applicants, the future generation leaders. He holds two masters degrees - MSc in National Security Strategy and MA in Strategic Security Studies - from the foremost National Defense University in Washington D.C., USA. He also has a Graduate Certificate in Counterterrorism from the same University; a Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomatic Studies from University of Westminster, UK and; a BSc in War Studies from the University of Baluchistan, Quetta - Pakistan.

Umar Dalhatu joined Baze University after 26 years of successful Banking career; as an accomplished Banker. Umar rose through the rank from Trainee Officer and retired as Deputy General Manager from Unity Bank Plc. He graduated from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria with Bachelor of Degree (BSc.) Economics in 1987 and had masters in Banking and Finance from Bayero University (BUK) Kano. Umar attended various management and finance courses both in Nigeria and abroad.

Dr.  James O. Daniel

Dr. Daniel is the Baze University Librarian. He is a seasoned Librarian with many years of practice and teaching experience in the Library and Information. He is an astute scholar and a professional of repute in the Library and Information Science sector of the economy. Dr. Daniel’s special interest is in the application of the computers to library and Information services. He has successfully computerized many Libraries in Nigeria as an ambassador of ICT application to Libraries. Dr. Daniel has a wealth of university library administration experiences at national, regional and international levels, and a checkered knowledge of capacity building and staff development. He is currently the President of West African Library Association (WALA) and former President of the Nigerian Library Association. Dr. Daniel is a Fellow of the Nigerian Library Association, the pioneer Chairman of the Council of the Librarians’ (LRCN), a former Secretary of the International Federation of Libraries and Institutions (IFLA) African Section.
